Everett Middle School
6th Grade English Language Arts Teacher
San Francisco, CA
I am an English Language Arts teacher with a preliminary credential who is currently working in San Francisco, California, where I was born and raised. This coming academic year, I will be teaching 6th Grade English Language Arts at Everett Middle School. I am honored to serve the city in which I grew up and the school district from which I received my elementary and secondary education. I received my Single Subject Teaching Credential in English from San Francisco State University and my Bachelor of Arts Degree in English from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo. In addition to having years of experience working with children and adolescents, I most recently finished student teaching at Abraham Lincoln High School in San Francisco, where I taught 9th Grade English and 10th Grade Ethnic Literature. I learned very much about constructivist pedagogy, curriculum design, lesson planning, classroom management, adolescent development, equitable teaching practices, and more during my time as a student teacher, and I am currently reflecting on the past academic year and planning for the next. In my spare time, I enjoy reading, writing, listening to music, watching movies, TV, and sports, visiting art exhibits and museums, taking photographs, and exercising.
